Did you know…
Unlike many other animals, girl dogs, bitches, go into heat only once every 6 or 7 months. They are only fertile a few days during this time.
If a mating is successful, the bitch carries a litter for approximately 63 days from ovulation.
Baby puppies must stay very warm when they are young as they cannot maintain their own body heat. They also learn basic skills from their mother and siblings and should NOT go home before 8 weeks of age.
Did you know…
Dogs do not have digestive systems like humans. Their digestive juices are 10 times as potent and their digestive tract is much shorter. They can eat many things that humans cannot without any ill effects. Stop feeding them like little humans.

There are many current puppy scams at this time due to the desire for puppies brought on by Covid. Please beware.
The first thing you should do is ask to meet the puppies parents! At least the mother should be available.
The second thing you should do is ask for the health clearances on the parents.
The third is go to the breeders place of residence and check it out. If you have reservations, don’t purchase! If the price is more than the average price, ask why. If you think you are purchasing a registered purebred puppy it MUST come with papers of you are being duped.
